I didn’t really want to see Frozen 2. I mean, eventually… at home, but not spend money to see it at the theater. Problem was, I had one kiddo that REALLY wanted to see it. We found ourselves with a free night and we went.
I found myself captivated by the story and laughing at Olaf and other silly parts. In the end I actually liked Frozen 2 better than the Frozen! What?! I know. I’m probably the minority in this, but it is because of one certain scene and one song.
Listen. For me to cry in a movie is no big deal. It happens…often. The ache in my chest, however, was new. This nudging in my soul. The tap on my shoulder. Those are things I don’t remember experiencing all at once during a movie.
This year has been a rollercoaster
As the year comes to an end, its moments like this that serve as a reminder of who I was in January, who I am today, and who I am yet to become. It is less about change and more about becoming fully who I was created to be. It’s about unleashing the power that has always been there, but been dormant.
What transformations have you made this year? What transformations do you want to make in your life, but don’t know where to start?
Here are a few turtle steps to try
Silence. Sit in it. At least 5 minutes a day. Breathe and listen. Get out of your head and listen to your heart.
Journal. Write out your dreams. Imagine them. Feel them. Live as if you have achieved those dreams.
Gratitude. Practice it. Every day. Write it down.
This isn’t rocket science. You’ve heard these things before and maybe even from me. These small practices that you need to spend no more than 15 minutes a day on will make a difference in your life. I promise! After all, you are the one you’ve been waiting for.
I am here to help, because I have been there.
